A British Airways Boeing 777-200, registration G-YMMI performing flight BA-123 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Doha (Qatar), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 27R when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting smoke on board of the aircraft. The aircraft returned to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27L about 20 minutes after departure, vacated the runway and stopped on the parallel taxiway for an inspection by emergency services before taxiing to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration G-YMMO reached Doha with a delay of about 6 hours.
